For five generations, the Gardners have open the doors to the rustic landmark in south Henry County. As you walk in the door to the peach stand, not only does a member of the Gardner family greet you, but so does the scent of fresh peaches! Although produce will be sold out of a different building on the farm starting the Summer of 2017, customers can expect the same freshness and friendly faces at the farm.
Peaches have been a staple during the summer months for this family and so many others who look forward to biting into a sweet, juicy Georgia peach. The current peach crop is grown on trees close to 30 years old; and some even older. With the aging peach orchard, the family is exploring ways to keep the family farm operating, for the ‘younger’ generations of Gardners to continue. Loyal farm customers may notice a few changes around the farm, but the consistent quality and taste of the fresh produce will remain!
It has been a family pastime to pick, grade, sort and sell peaches for most all members of the S.H. Gardner family – and that tradition will continue for even the youngest generation. As long as the good Lord allows, the Gardner family looks forward to continuing the family tradition right here in Locust Grove, Georgia.
